摘要
The commentary on the article Philosophy and Cinema: Critical Reflections in Integrated High School Education by Nei Fonseca and Douglas Orben aims to highlight the originality and importance of the "Philosophy and Cinema" project as a pedagogical strategy within Integrated High School programs. The commentary emphasizes the relevance of the proposal by considering cinema as both a philosophical and educational tool, capable of articulating reason and emotion - logos and pathos - in the teaching-learning process. The theoretical framework is based on authors such as Julio Cabrera (2013), who introduces the concept of logopathic rationality; Alejandro Cerletti (2009), who emphasizes of questioning in philosophical thinking; and Silvio Gallo (2012), with his "pedagogy of the concept," based on sensitization, problematization, investigation, and concept creation. The commentary values the methodology adopted by the article's authors, which involves screening and discussing films, demonstrating how this practice fosters philosophical thinking. Furthermore, it highlights the project's social and educational relevance by democratizing access to philosophy through a popular medium like cinema. As a reflective development, the commentary proposes a further step: transforming students into producers of audiovisual works, deepening their philosophical and creative experience. Thus, the commentary recognizes the pedagogical power of cinema and invites teachers to explore new ways of philosophizing in the school setting.
