Evolutionary algorithm-based sliding mode control of a photovoltaic/battery system

摘要
In this paper, the problem of controlling a hybrid system consisting of a solar array, a battery, and a switching circuit is considered and an innovative method based on sliding mode control (SMC) is presented to solve it. First, the desired process is modeled. Modeling is done in three steps. The process switching circuit is modeled in the first step. In the second step, the solar array is modeled. This modeling is done by the single diode method with series resistance, and finally in the last step, by the Tunon method, the battery is modeled. Bringing the solar system to the optimal operating point and also adjusting the load voltage to the desired value are the main goals of this paper. Then the stability of the proposed control method is proved by the appropriate Lyapunov function. Finally, the response of the proposed control method is compared with some common methods. According to the presented simulations, the proposed control method has a more desirable transient and permanent response. Simulation results indicate that the percentage of changes in SOC of the proposed method is +0.0991 and is higher than the other methods.
