摘要
A single-layer broadband wearable non-uniform metasurface antenna is proposed in this letter. To better guide the design ideas, characteristic mode analysis (CMA) is used to investigate the intrinsic modal behaviors of the metasurface. By lengthening the center patch of the uniform metasurface, two modes of directional radiation appear and pull them together to expand the bandwidth. Cross slots are etched at four corner units to further reduce the footprint. The proposed antenna adopts a flexible structure and has better wearable comfort. The test performance in different parts of the human body is good, and the specific absorption rate is within the safety standard of the United States and the European Union, so it has a good prospect of wearable application.
