摘要
In this paper, a flexible-tunable broadband electro-optical comb (EO) pulse generator with an all-fiber structure is presented. The system is based on an EO comb seed source and employs the Mamyshev regeneration method to effectively compress pulse width and eliminate the pulse pedestal of the EO comb. By using a 1.5 W optical amplifier for nonlinear regenerative mixing and broadening, an ultrashort pulse train with repetition rate of 5.6 GHz, a spectral width of 59 nm, and a pulse width of 97 fs is generated in the C-band. In addition, the scheme offers a repetition rate tuning capability of 500 MHz. Ultra-wide pulse width tuning in the range from 97 fs to 10 ps is achieved by managing the dispersion of the broadened spectrum and selectively controlling the spectral width with a broadband wavelength and bandwidth tunable bandpass filter. This solution demonstrates the superiority of a high-performance, extremely flexible and tunable all-fiber EO comb pulse generator.
