p-wave superconductivity at the dual topological insulator/s-wave superconductor interface

We report evidence for p-wave superconductivity at the dual topological insulator (BiTe)/s-wave superconductor (NbSe2) heterojunction by performing electrical transport measurements. Four-terminal differential conductance measurements performed at low temperatures exhibit sharp V-shaped zero-bias dip and convex-shaped coherence peaks. The multiband two-dimensional Blonder-Tinkham-Klapwijk model employed to fit the differential conductance reveals two distinct superconducting gaps, with anisotropic p-wave and s-wave characters, respectively. Detailed out-of-plane magnetic-field-dependent spectra show that the anisotropic p-wave gap gets destroyed at much smaller fields as compared to the s-wave gap.
