摘要
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the lives of citizens worldwide, affecting all aspects of society. While the health crisis has been global, differing national contexts and governmental responses have led to heterogeneous outcomes. This study aims to identify evidence of the characteristics of countries associated with better performance in a pandemic scenario similar to COVID-19. Our study is conducted on a sample of 95 countries worldwide (Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and South America) during the years 2020 and 2021, examining the relationship between measures of Economic Freedom, Good Governance, and the effectiveness and efficiency of pandemic management.
