摘要
Using National Natural Science Foundation of China data at funding of Chinese chemistry projects over the past five years, we summarize the funding strategies and development trends in basic research in chemical science in China. We do this in order to strengthen key strategic fields and cutting-edge deployment and propose what we believe are the current weaknesses and shortcomings in fundamental research in chemical science in China to provide a basis for future funding strategies.
