摘要
The purpose of the study is to examine adaptation strategies to the impact of climate change for hotel sector, while integrated climate-related risks management with decision making process that referring to the goals of sustainable management. This article proposes a model that allows prioritizing management strategies that synergistically combine adaptation to climate change together with aspects of sustainable management criteria. Adjustments are due to scenario analysis of sea level rise and flooding that can create an impact on hotels that located near the Mediterranean seashores. Multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) was used to examine the adaptation strategies in the light of hotel management criteria. The findings show that adaptation to the impact of climate change can be at different levels within the internal and external environment of the hotels. Additionally, adjustments can promote sustainable management that refers to economic, environmental and social dimensions and to the conditions of uncertainty in which the hotel sector operates. The study presents a comprehensive framework that can assist in managerial decision-making for hotels, in order to adapt to climate-related risks.
