摘要
Countries adopting e-governance (EGV) are shown in this article to have improved public service delivery by making government services more accessible and transparent. These countries have addressed the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) goals around infrastructure, innovation, and decreased disparities by implementing online options for many of their services, hence enhancing accessibility and efficiency. Meanwhile, in pursuit of the SDGs, these countries have established strong institutions and governance frameworks, resulting in consistent advancements in EGV and an enabling environment for digital operations. This study investigates the relationship between e-governance (EGV) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). EGV significantly influenced the SDGs in half of the case study countries, suggesting that improved digital governance frameworks facilitate the effective implementation of sustainability initiatives and support the achievement of SDG targets. On the other hand, the results also indicated that the SDGs have a causal impact on EGV in half of the countries, which implies that a commitment to the SDGs can drive enhancements in governance structures and practices. This article provides an analysis of the relationship between the SDGs and EGV, evaluating whether EGV can facilitate the achievement of the SDGs and vice versa.
