摘要：

Oral health is integral to overall health but is often disconnected from primary medical care, particularly in vulnerable populations (eg, pregnant women and seniors). Medical-dental integration (MDI) incorporates oral health into primary care, bridges this gap, and improves comprehensive patient care. This study evaluates the feasibility of OH-I-CAN, a smartphone oral health app, in prenatal and geriatric primary care settings to improve the identification and management of oral health and the acceptability of OH-I-CAN. The app's potential to enhance nurse practitioner's early detection and management of oral health issues highlights the critical role of technology in fostering MDI. (c) 2025 Elsevier Inc.
