摘要
The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) supports United Nations' sustainable development goals. Dynamic wireless power transfer (DWPT) technology, which allows EV charging while driving, addresses issues such as range anxiety. However, studies on public perception of DWPT compared to wired technologies are limited. To explore this, a choice experiment was conducted with 203 experienced EV users (those who have leased or owned an EV) and 1,008 inexperienced users (non-EV users) in Indiana, U.S., assessing preferences for DWPT, Level 2, and Level 3/direct current fast charging (DCFC) for a 100-mile trip. Results showed that experienced users preferred DCFC over DWPT, with Level 2 rated the lowest. In contrast, inexperienced users ranked DWPT the lowest, favoring Level 2. Attitudes toward environment and positive EV features and convenience influenced these preferences. Recommendations include promoting DWPT benefits, offering firsthand DWPT experiences, and enhancing public charging ecosystem to increase user satisfaction and encourage EV adoption.
