摘要
Motor features of PD have long been recognized and are well characterized. However, there is fairly wide range of reported prevalences of various motor symptoms within the PD population due to variability in defining and identifying symptoms, as well as a lack of large-scale studies in some cases. Additionally, there remains a lack of consensus to the underlying pathophysiology of many motor symptoms, and continued neurophysiologic research is needed to better understand these pathways. Lastly, many motor symptoms may be influenced by nonmotor systems and pathways, blurring the distinction between motor and nonmotor features of PD.
