摘要
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of reading interactive e-books and printed books on the early literacy and working memory skills of 5-year-old children. The sample included 8 girls and 12 boys in the first experimental group, 11 girls and 12 boys in the second experimental group, and 9 girls and 11 boys in the control group. The 'Early Literacy Skills Assessment Tool' and the 'Memory Battery for Preschool Children' scales were used. The results indicated that reading printed books and e-books contributed equally to the development of the semantic memory of children's working memory. Regarding the development of phonological memory, it was found that the development of the control group and the e-book group was at the same rate. In addition, the results showed that the e-book had the greatest impact on the development of phonological awareness and story comprehension.
