摘要
The inability of the legal system to respond to expectations due to the increase in legal demands and the diversity of legal issues is only one of the social developments that reveal the movement of family justice. Examining this framework can clarify how it addresses systemic limitations and provides a comprehensive approach for families seeking resolution. This qualitative study investigates the potential of family mediation to improve women's access to family justice in Turkey. Given the lack of legal framework and the limited social acceptance of mediation in Turkish society, this research utilises in-depth interviews with 10 participants to explore the experiences and perspectives of women who have engaged in family mediation. A pivotal aspect of this research involves a thorough analysis of the Turkish family court system, specifically on women's barriers to seeking justice in family-related disputes. The objective is to identify specific practices and procedures from family mediation that could be adapted or modified to enhance women's experiences and access to justice within the Turkish context.
