摘要
The emergence of generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots has led to a rapid technological shift in education. This special issue of Teaching of Psychology addresses that shift with articles that take the first steps toward establishing an effective and evidence-based AI pedagogy. The articles in this special issue cover various teaching topics but contain several common themes. Teachers can use AI across the full range of learning goals in psychology. AI is not limited to specific content, skills, or assessments. Nonetheless, AI has particular relevance to writing instruction. The rules for using AI are new and confusing to students, so they must learn to be transparent and ethical when documenting AI's contributions to their work. Teachers use AI in productive and creative ways, but there is great potential for further development. Although the future of AI is unknown, teachers should engage in professional development to stay up to date on the use of AI in the teaching of psychology.
