摘要
In this study, the preheating combustion technology is applied to pulverized coal tangential combustion, which is a main combustion mode of large-capacity pulverized coal boilers. The tangential combustion characteristics of pulverized coal and preheated fuel are compared, and wide-load coupled combustion characteristics are explored. The results demonstrate that the preheated fuel exhibited enhanced ignition and more stable combustion performance, which was advantageous for achieving deep and flexible peak shaving. Tangential preheating combustion system could realize the stable operation of 19 %-100 % combustion load. Compared to traditional pulverized coal burners, retrofitting the single-layer nozzle into a pre-circulating fluidized bed (PCFB) reduced NOx emissions by about 28 % and increased combustion efficiency by approximately 1 %. Moreover, the stable coupled combustion of pulverized coal and preheated fuel confirmed the feasibility of retrofitting PCFB layers in coal-fired boilers with multi-layer nozzles. Additionally, reducing the combustion load lowered NOx emissions but slightly decreased combustion efficiency. Furthermore, the diagonal operation of PCFBs could be used as an operating mode under ultra-low loads. The study demonstrates the viability of integrating preheating combustion technology and pulverized coal tangential combustion, proposing a novel low-load operation mode with potential application in coal-fired power plants.
