Consideration has been given to the possibility of using the technology of cyclic steam stimulation (CSS) of the bottom-hole formation zone with various attendant complications, such as the low permeability of the formation, the use of CSS in horizontal, subhorizontal, and inclined directional wells and in combination with the hydraulic fracturing of the formation, the high viscosity of oil, and the stratified inhomogeneity and compartmentalization of the formation. This issue is particularly relevant in view of the ever-increasing interest of subsoil users in developing fields of viscous and high-viscosity oil with described complications.
