摘要
As an initial step toward exciting optical vortices using high-power millimeter waves, this study developed a method for inducing vortex modes within a cylindrical waveguide using Gaussian beams. By examining the coupling between tilted and offset Gaussian beams and specific waveguide modes, appropriate tilt angles and offsets were obtained. Numerical simulations demonstrated that the vortex modes could be efficiently excited using four Gaussian beams. Furthermore, the results revealed that increasing the number of Gaussian beams improves the excitation efficiency of vortex modes.
