摘要
The upcoming sixth-generation wireless communication standard will face significant challenges in improving communication performance and achieving new objectives, including network densification and robust broadband connectivity in urban areas. Additionally, it aims for the expansion of networks to reach and connect devices that are currently excluded due to geographical location, power consumption constraints, or any kind of physical obstacle. In line with the latest long range wide area network (LoRaWAN) research trends, this article aims at proposing a specific solution for the more challenging objectives set by the new generation standard. The presented research focuses on identifying the server-side modifications required to integrate the LoRaWAN protocol into a low earth orbit (LEO) enabled non-terrestrial network (NTN) architecture.
