The relationship between teacher and student in the higher education seen through reprobation

摘要
Introduction: From a perspective which takes into consideration the importance of social relations for the constitution of subjects, the current research has based upon the Historical-Cultural Psychology. Objetivo: Understanding of the relationship between professor and students in the contexto of college education from the reprobation of students in this phase of teaching. Method: Five students were interviewed as well as five professors at Federal University of Uberl & acirc;ndia, from different areas of knowledge. Results: The interviews were open, audio recorded, transcripted, transcreated and analysed with content analysis, making up three categories: student<acute accent>s education; the relation between masters and students concerning the teaching-learning processes; the master<acute accent>s education in the higher education. Conclusions: With this investigation it is possible to infer that pedagogical mediation offered by the master compose one of the solid bases for the teaching-learning process and that, besides, the educational situation is constituted by affective questions which directly influence learning.
