Advanced monitoring and analysis of silicone rubber foaming process using micro-scale injection molding device

摘要
In addressing the technical challenges of efficient silicone rubber foam production, this study developed a microscale simulation device specifically for injection molding. This device enabled the comprehensive monitoring of temperature, pressure, and visualization data during the foaming process, leading to the development of a novel and detailed method for characterizing the foaming dynamics. By applying the gas law model and differential analysis, we gained a thorough understanding of the mechanisms underlying the injection molding foaming process for silicone rubber. Furthermore, we successfully fabricated silicone rubber foams with high cell density and uniformly sized cells via injection molding. These findings offer important contributions to the advancement of injection molding technology in the engineering applications of silicone rubber foams.
