摘要
This paper reviews the BUILDCHAIN project, which integrates blockchain technology with the Internet of Things for improved infrastructure management. It focused on developing decentralized knowledge bases that would handle comprehensive lifecycle logs to increase the reliability, accessibility, and sustainability of the managed building. The BUILDCHAIN uses real-time data collection and blocks secure data logging, ensuring that data is traceable, safe, and immutable. The system would allow proactive Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) to optimise energy and resilience during disasters. The smart contract would automate essential processes with acquired information from the Internet of Things devices. The integration will hence allow better linkage between devices and systems to optimize energy usage and increase disaster response capability, moving towards a more strengthened, efficient, and sustainable infrastructure management framework. These results bring to the fore the transformative potential of the coming together of blockchain and IoT in modern infrastructural management.
