A Combustion Synthesis technique has been used for synthesis of Eu3+ doped NaXLa(MoO4)3 doped Phosphor and its photoluminescence properties were investigated. Red-emitting molybdate phosphor NaXLa (MoO4)3:Eu3+ (where X = Sr, Ba) have been effectively synthesized at 8000C by combustion synthesis method and their photoluminescence behaviors studied. The luminescence result indicate that the prepared NaXLa(MoO4)3:Eu3+ (where X = Sr, Ba) phosphors shows emission in orange and red color of the wavelength. Upon 397 nm UV excitation these phosphor shows prominent emission centered at 617 nm. The NaBaLa(MoO4)3:Eu3+ phosphor CIE coordinates at wavelength of 592 nm (0.586, 0.412) and 617 nm (0.684, 0.314). The NaSrLa(MoO4)3:Eu3+ phosphor's CIE coordinates at wavelength of 596 nm and 617 nm are (0.608, 0.391) and (0.684, 0.314), respectively. The prepared phosphor NaXLa(MoO4)3:Eu3+ (where X = Sr, Ba) shows possible application in solid state lighting.
