摘要
This work reports the synthesis of Cd1-xZnxS nanocrystalline thin films via simple and cost-effective Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD) method. The pH of the bath solution is varied in the range 9-10.5 at a constant temperature of 60 degrees C for 30 min. The deposited films have been characterized for structural, morphological, and optical studies. From the analysis, it has been found that at pH value 9.5, the film shows the best possible crystal structure, smooth and crack-free surface, high optical transmittance similar to 90 %, and energy band gap of 2.72 eV which can be used as a potential window layer for solar cell and optoelectronic applications.
