摘要
This study investigated the concept of Recovery from the perspective of SUD (substance use disorder) service providers in the state of Pennsylvania. Three questions related to how service providers conceptualize the recovery process, including in terms of stages and methods for measuring progress were posed to participants. Narrative data was analyzed using Iterative Thematic Inquiry (ITI). For each recovery question, between 3 and 5 themes were identified. Some of the themes aligned with our preconceived themes as part of the ITI process; some themes aligned with existing definitions of recovery; no themes reflected specific timelines related to the recovery process. Implications for research and practice are included.
