COMPETENCY-BASED FORMATION: PEDAGOGIC IMPLICATIONS ON THE LANGUAGE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS

摘要
This paper attempts to identify different pedagogical implications pertaining competency-based formation that can influence the language teaching- learning process. Methodologically, we resorted bibliographical research and qualitative analysis are used, using the technique of content analysis. The results show four main implications: mobilization of knowledge, skills and attitudes, renovation of pedagogical structures and practices, training based on adaptation/competitiveness/employability and the emphasis on scientific knowledge to the detriment of the humanities. In view of these implications, the study concludes with a discussion regarding the construction and development of competences in the language teaching-learning process, from a critical perspective, is founded on theoretical contributions of Critical Literacy.
