摘要
Fibroids are the most common tumor of the uterus. Their clinical manifestations depend on their location and volume. They can undergo aseptic, septic, and even malignant transformations. A patient with a liver cirrhosis personal history, who underwent cesarean section less than three months after delivery, complaining of diffuse abdominal pain with a feeling of heaviness, as well as persistent abdominal enlargement after cesarean section, as well as symptoms and hypovolemic signs, is presented. Certain findings in the physical examination led to the decision to perform emergency surgery, which included epipoplasty and omentectomy, but the patient's progress was satisfactory. According to the few articles in the consulted literature, cystic degeneration as a cause of hemoperitoneum is a rare entity, even in daily practice, which motivated this case presentation.
