摘要
Purpose: This research aims to investigate the cultural impact of bamboo flute music within the Chinese educational context, focusing on its role as a cultural bridge. Through semi-structured interviews, the study explores the emotional resonance of bamboo flute music, its influence on cultural expressions, and its transformative potential within educational settings. The purpose is to unravel the nuanced relationships between bamboo flute music, cultural identities, and crosscultural understanding. Method: Conducting a qualitative study, the research engages in thematic analysis of 15 semi-structured interviews with participants from China. The selection of participants ensures diverse perspectives and data saturation is achieved to capture the richness of experiences. The study employs a three-step thematic analysis approach to uncover patterns and insights related to the cultural impact of bamboo flute music. Findings: The findings reveal the multifaceted impact of bamboo flute music, highlighting its emotional depth, role in shaping cultural identities, and transformative potential within education. The study identifies varied perspectives and experiences, emphasizing the dynamic nature of bamboo flute music as a cultural bridge. Originality/Significance: This research contributes to the existing literature by specifically exploring bamboo flute music's cultural impact within the Chinese educational context. The originality lies in its in-depth examination of emotional and cultural dimensions, filling gaps in the literature. The significance of the study extends to cultural preservation, educational practices, and cross-cultural understanding, providing valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and cultural enthusiasts.
