摘要
This paper compares the conventional Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and the Chirp-based EIS methodologies in nonlinear Lithium-ion battery impedance spectrum simulation. Utilizing a Doyle-Fuller-Newman (DFN) model with specific parameters for LGM50 21700 Li-Ion Battery, the study emphasizes not only the accuracy but also the operational speed of the two techniques. It was observed that the Chirp-based EIS method substantially reduces the measurement time by a factor of 5, compared to the conventional EIS method for the frequency range of 0.01 Hz to 10(3) Hz in galvanostatic mode. In addition, the sampling rate used in the Chirp-based EIS method can be achieved practically using function generators or comparable electronic tools. This indicates an option for an effective battery prognosis. The research proposes that employing the Chirp-based EIS technique can potentially transform how EIS is carried out, greatly improving its practicality for battery management systems.
