摘要：

Cancer is the leading cause of premature death in people with type 2 diabetes (T2D). T2D-associated cancer can form in the liver, bile ducts, pancreas, stomach, intestine, kidney, bladder, (female) breast, uterus, and other tissues. Other risk factors such as tobacco smoking, lack of exercise, obesity, an unbalanced diet, alcohol consumption, or tumor-related chronic infections can further increase or amplify the risk of cancer. Therefore, people with type 2 diabetes mellitus should follow a healthy lifestyle and regularly participate in established cancer screening programs.
