摘要
Contemporary African migrations to Latin America are a phenomenon that maintains deep connections with the history of Black Africans on the continent. In this sense, we seek to explore these links based on the experiences of racism shared by migrants in Brazil, as well as the modes of agency of these subjects in the face of racial discrimination. Starting from the diaspora as a perspective of analysis, we take two empirical cases of mobilizations against racism led by groups of African migrants in different contexts in Brazil. The aim is to look for evidence of a diasporic consciousness shared between African and Afro-Brazilian migrants given by common experiences of racial discrimination. The presence and actions of mobilization against racism, carried out by Black migrants, expose racism in the country as a structural problem, collaborating more broadly with the historical struggles of the Black Movement in Brazil.
