摘要
A 33-year-old patient, in the 33rd week of twin pregnancy, was admitted to the obstetrics department due to elevated blood pressure. Her urinalysis revealed proteinuria. Preeclampsia was diagnosed. Due to the high-risk pregnancy, the decision to perform a cesarean section was made. During the postpartum period, the patient experienced symptoms of heart failure. Advanced diagnostic procedures led to a diagnosis of peripartum cardiomyopathy preceded by preeclampsia. Based on this, case report authors highlight the frequent correlation between peripartum cardiomyopathy and gestational hypertension and the difficulties associated with a diagnosis of heart failure during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
