摘要
This paper proposes a dual-band metamaterial microwave absorber (MMA) to suppress mutual coupling in antenna array. A two-element dual-band antenna array operating at 3.5 GHz and 4.8 GHz serves as an example to verify its performance. The proposed MMA is placed vertically in antenna array to absorb spatial coupling wave. The simulation results show that the isolation could be improved by 18.9 dB at 3.5 GHz and 10.07 dB at 4.8 GHz, respectively. Meanwhile, there is no significant impact on radiation patterns and return loss by using MMA. Therefore, the proposed MMA could provide perfect dual-band decoupling candidate in antenna arrays.
