摘要
The increasing reliance on renewable energy sources necessitates advanced energy storage solutions. Supercapacitors have emerged as promising devices for energy storage, offering high power density, long cycle life, and eco-friendliness. This review focuses on transition metal pyrophosphates (TMPPs), highlighting their potential as superior electrode materials. TMPPs exhibit unique structural and electrochemical properties, including robust P-O bonding, large surface areas, and excellent cyclic stability. The study discusses synthesis methodologies, energetic parameters, and charge storage mechanisms, emphasizing TMPPs contributions to high-performance supercapacitor applications. Advances in TMPPs-based electrodes, such as doping and hybrid designs, enhance energy and power density, showcasing their significance in developing sustainable and efficient energy storage systems. This comprehensive analysis underscores the critical role of TMPPs in advancing next-generation supercapacitors for renewable energy integration.
