This study explored the association between teacher well-being and teaching quality, focusing on the intermediary role of work engagement. Data were gathered using a paper-based questionnaire administered to 555 university and college teachers from six schools in China, and processed using structural equation modeling. The findings suggested there was a positive link between teacher well-being and teaching quality, with work engagement serving as a mediator between these two variables. The implications of these results for educational practices are discussed, along with potential directions for future research.
