摘要
This study uses a techno-economic evaluation to enhance the efficiency of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in commercial buildings. The HOMER Grid software is utilized for this purpose. The project aims to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness by enabling the smooth integration of renewable energies and establishing infrastructure for electric vehicle charging. A feasibility study conducted in Coimbra, Portugal, examines the practicality of implementing photovoltaic (PV) and/or energy storage systems in a commercial building. The project's objective is to incorporate a specialized electric vehicle (EV) charging station that is linked to Portugal's public electric mobility network. The findings provide vital information to inform sustainable energy practices and future improvements in the industry, and the methodology can be used to help the building's owner in decision making.
