摘要:
The article discusses how peace-oriented journalism can denounce the violation of human rights of Black women, the lack of social justice, and the absence of public power in upholding constitutional rights for minorities. The methodology involves a Discourse Analysis of the report "Invisible in Brazil, without documents and dignity: 'I don't even exist in the world,'" published on the El Pais Brazil portal in November 2021. Drawing on theoretical reflections about the struggle of Black women for recognition, the discussion illustrates how the media can indicate causes and solutions for conflicts by fulfilling its social and democratic role, giving voice to Brazilians- mostly Black and poor- by reporting on the invisibility and lack of dignity of individuals without any official registration who do not have access to fundamental rights for a dignified life.
