摘要
At present researchers have been widely employing memristor for numerous electronic applications as it has several advantages when compared to the widely employed transistor-based technology. Electronic counters have been widely used for a huge number of real-life applications. To overcome the drawbacks of transistor-based counters, in this work, memristor-based counters are proposed. Both up-counter and down-counter circuits are simulated. Based on these circuits an electronic circuit that delivers the exact amount of fuel requested by the user is proposed. One can perceive that the amount of fuel vended is directly proportional to the ON duration of the fuel pump. Based on this idea a memristor-based fuel dispenser is developed. The proposed circuits outperform their existing counterparts regarding computational speed, power dissipation, and circuit complexity. These circuits pave the way for futuristic automatic fuel vending systems.
