摘要
Q fever is a zoonotic infection caused by the bacterium Coxiella burnetii. While acute Q fever is asymptomatic in 50% of people, it most commonly manifests as a flu-like illness, atypical pneumonia and hepatitis in symptomatic individuals. The disease may become chronic in a small number of cases, with endocarditis being the most common clinical manifestation of chronic Q fever. This article presents a case of a patient treated multiple times for endocarditis, followed up in our clinic for persistent fever, and ultimately diagnosed with Q fever endocarditis.
