摘要
Bacterial infection is an essential factor affecting wound healing, which seriously hinders the process of wound healing. Developing a medical dressing loaded with traditional Chinese medicine ingredients is an effective way to promote wound healing. In this paper, we developed a Sodium alginate/polyvinyl alcohol (SA/PVA) nanofiber containing Baicalein (Ba) by electrospinning for medical dressings. Baicalein contains hydroxyl groups, which gives the prepared nanofibers uniform diameter, good hydrophilicity and high thermal stability. The results of in vitro experiments showed that the inhibition rate of 15%Ba/SA/PVA nanofiber against S. aureus and E. coli were 98.86% and 99.58%, respectively. Moreover, the drug release rate of 15%Ba/SA/PVA nanofiber was 78%. This drug-loaded nanofiber has a massive potential as an excellent antibacterial dressing for wound healing.
