摘要
The focus of this study is on reducing power loss in a distribution system, which is a challenging task. In contrast to the transmission system, power loss in the distribution system is more significant. To achieve maximum benefits, numerous engineering innovations, such as Distributed Generation (DG), have been introduced into the electrical infrastructure. In order to minimize power loss, it is necessary to determine the optimal sizing and location of DG. This study employs the Salp-Swarm Algorithm (SSA) technique to identify the most suitable placement and sizing of DG, with the aim of reducing system losses. The proposed method uses total power loss as the objective function to minimize losses in the system. The effectiveness of the proposed method was demonstrated through its application to the standard IEEE 30-bus Reliability Test System (RTS).
