摘要
Caregiving for a client with dementia brings extensive responsibility as the caregiver manages their loved one's finances, health, appointments, and daily living. The caregiver can experience a decreased quality of life due to mental health challenges such as stress, strain, depression, and anxiety from the pressures of caregiving. By implementing a caregiver mental health screening with referrals as indicated, an occupational therapist can facilitate more holistic and individualized care for both the client and the caregiver.
