摘要
The importance of the subject of Physical Education in secondary education for the physical, emotional and psychosocial well-being of students is well known. However, it is a challenge for teachers of this specialty to know the type of physical activity that is safe for students with Marfan Syndrome, due to the conditions suffered in this disease. This article includes the different recommendations on the type of physical activity considering the different effects that this disease causes in the body, without excluding the need to individualize the activities according to the situation of the patient. Additionally, this article analyzes the results obtained from the recommended activities, observing if students with this disease benefit from them and which of these activities are contraindicated. These students are between the ages of 12 and 18, which are the ages at which young people attend secondary school. Our hypothesis is that students affected by Marfan Syndrome benefit from a certain physical activity in Physical Education classes, improving their quality of life and avoiding the problems related to the connective tissue alterations caused by this disease. This fact is demonstrated in a study carried out on mice by the Cell Biology group of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona.
