摘要
This study proposes innovative activities based on the textual genre letter, applied in the final years of Elementary School I. The main objective is to enrich the learning process, considering the importance of letters as a means of expression and interpersonal communication. To achieve this goal, the research employed a mixed methodology, combining literature review and analysis of practical cases developed in the final grades of Elementary School. In the theoretical foundation, authors such as Abreu and Munhoz (2019), Rojo (2009), and Soares (2008) emphasize the ongoing relevance of textual genres, such as letters, to the literacy process of students. These studies rely on the "paper" support, contradicting the common belief that considers it obsolete in the face of technology. The study recognizes personal letters as a reality among Basic Education students, used on specific occasions. The analysis of practical cases adds an empirical dimension, showing how the proposed activities based on letters were successfully implemented. The results revealed that, despite the digital era, letters maintain their importance in students' lives. The proposed activities provide a practical approach to developing writing, expression, and creativity skills. The fusion of epistolary tradition and technology stands out as an effective strategy to promote literacy in an increasingly digital context, demonstrating the relevance of teaching the textual genre of letters in the final years of Elementary School.
