摘要
This article presents the design of a new liquid metals-based switchable bandpass filter (BPF) with a planar structure. The filter is designed using planar hybrid LC resonators with switchable capacitive network. Capacitive switching is performed by designing multiple capacitive patches next to each other, where liquid channels filled with Galinstan are used for electrically connecting the adjacent patches. Measurements of a fabricated four state second-order switchable BPF prototype show switching of the center frequency from 1.3 - 2.21 GHz with a maximum insertion loss of 3.7 dB.
