Analytical Approaches to Electroacoustic Music and a Possible Application in music Composition

The lack of scores makes the analysis of electroacoustic music a delicate and subjective discipline. This study aims to outline an overview of the different analytical approaches to electroacoustic music, how they have influenced or contributed to the musical creations, and the benefits of their use and practical applications in composition. Many of these approaches derive from the theory of Pierre Schaeffer. With the development of analytic programs and artificial intelligence, new trends are emerging. To illustrate a possible application of analysis in artistic creation, the present study also includes an example of my own creation, inspired by the sound produced by a door, spectrally analysed, edited with Celemony Melodyne, and then transcribed for sextet.
