E-learning experience at University of Quindio, Colombia

This article exposes the experience that the University of Quindio has been collecting around virtual education for more than 15 years. The pioneering career in Information Sciences and Documentation, Librarianship Science and Archivist (since 2006 offers E-learning) and the Virtual Innovation Department are both a success story of the E-learning experience at the University of Quindio, Colombia. This knowledge is becoming a benchmark for virtual training at a local, regional, and national level, primarily guiding and allowing the offer of new virtual programs within the institution. Likewise, the implementation of strategies that allow programs in all their modalities (face-to-face, traditional, and virtual distance, and non-formal education), teachers and students to comply with the development of academic and training activities through the use of technology and in virtual education scenarios.
