摘要
Sexuality plays a role in determining the risk of cancer, for example through sexually transmitted infections such as HPV, HIV, viral hepatitis, or lifestyle factors. Preventive measures such as HPV vaccinations and a responsible sexual behavior should be encouraged to reduce the risk of cancer. A cancer diagnosis and the associated therapies can lead to sexual dysfunction. Over 60% of women and 40% of men with cancer suffer from sexual dysfunction. Open communication and interdisciplinary treatment are crucial to provide patients with comprehensive support and to treat sexual dysfunctions in a targeted manner.
