External Disturbance Detection of 110kV Power Cable based on Built-in Sensing Optical Fiber

摘要
Power cables are essential power equipment in the power transmission and distribution process. This paper studies a built-in optical fiber power cable disturbance detection method based on the Mach-Zehnder interferometer to detect external disturbance signals in power cables. Based on a 110kV built-in optical fiber power cable, a study on external disturbance detection of the 110kV built-in optical fiber power cable was carried out. The MZI vibration sensing system detects four events: electric drill disturbance(EDD), hammering on bricks near the power cable(HBPC), hammering on the power cable(HPC), and kicking the power cable(KPC). Robust Empirical Mode Decomposition (REMD) was used to decompose the vibration signal measured by the internal optical fiber, extract the characteristic components, and reconstruct the signal. Experimental results show that the optical fiber vibration sensing system based on Mach-Zehnder interferometer can effectively detect external disturbance signals of power cables, guaranteeing the safe operation of power cables.
