摘要
Teacher work and health are areas of study that should be explored due to the profound changes in school and education, which are impacted by social and labor transformations. The objective is to analyze sociodemographic and behavioral characteristics related to health, chronic morbidity, and violence at school among teachers readapted for mental and behavioral disorders in a municipal education network in the Paraiba valley. This is applied, descriptive, exploratory, and quantitative research. A questionnaire was applied to identify this characteristic, and the results were presented in the form of percentiles according to the answers. Analysis of the results demonstrated that the causes that trigger absences due to CMD (ICD-10-F) are episodes of aggression at school by students, parents, co-workers, and employees; student indiscipline; lack of teacher autonomy; lack of support from school management; inadequate time for preparing classes and correcting student work; lack of adequate conditions related to environmental comfort in the classroom. Therefore, these results provide us with a profile of the factors that aggravate the development of CMD in readapted teachers, and this must be taken into consideration by the public management of Education Departments, which can generate better comfort in the work environment and reduce absenteeism.
